Apply now for Micro:bit pilot with Innokas network trainers
Micro:bit Foundation and Innokas Network challenge finnish schools to take part in Micro:bit piloting.
From qualifying applications, 50 finnish elementary schools will be selected to take part in the pilot. Two teachers from each participating school will join a two-day Micro:bit training by Innokas teachers in Helsinki in August 2017. The training will take place on August 7-8 at the University of Helsinki (Siltavuorenpenger 5A). Travel in Finland for participating techers will be covered by the pilot. And, each participating school will walk away from the training with 20 free Micro:bit sets!
How can I apply?
Fill the application form here by Friday, April 28 (one application per school). The selected schools will be announced on Innokas Network web pages on Wednesday, May 24. The contact persons will also be contacted personally and will receive the agenda for the training and instructions for travel booking.
Please note that the aim of the pilot is to develop and share best practices for the techning of programming and robotics, aligned to the Finnish National Core Curriculum. By applying to the pilot, you as a teacher commit to take the Micro:bit sets into use in your school teaching during fall 2017 and to share your experiences through Innokas Network channels.
