The Robotics Society in Finland challenged Finnish schools to compete in a robotics themed competition. The competition was organized in cooperation with the Innokas Network and sponsor partners.

Students competed in three series, preprimary to 2nd grade, 3rd to 6th grade and 7th to 8th grade. Students were given artistic freedom on how to construct their robot but the robot had to answer to the theme of the competition “ Robot-helpers of the Future” – robots that somehow help humans. The winners of the competition showed innovativeness, visual appeal and a clear focus.

The winners in each series were:

Aurinkolahti school class 2C from Helsinki: the Flying chair

Friisilä school classes 3A&3B from Espoo, a Dog Care robot and a the care robot Kaisu.

Knuutilankangas school class 5A from Oulu, a multifunctional robot

Maunu school class 8C from Rusko, a plastic trash collecting robot

Thank you to all competitors and sponsors!
